Tour’s overview

In this 4 days tour, we will travel to the four imperial cities of Morocco, Fez, Meknes, Rabat and Marrakech, the middle Atlas mountain villages of Ifran, Azrou, and Midelt, and also one night in the Moroccan Sahara Desert. You will enjoy camel trekking, seeing Barbary Monkeys, and visit Al Quaraouiyine, and Hassan II Mosque, Tanneries, the Saadian Tombs, The old Medina of fez, and more.

tour details 

Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat- Meknes- Fez,

We will meet at Casablanca, visiting Hassan II Mosque, and Mohamed V Mausoleum, before driving to Fez via Rabat and Meknes. At the capital city of Rabat, we will see Hassan II Tower, and the Royal Palace, and then continue to Meknes, visiting Bab El Mansour gate, and the Sacred Moulay Idriss Zerhoun, and “Volubilis”, famous Roman ruins, expanded in a large area offering wonderful view, a place where you can take photos and wander around the ruins. After having lunch, we are about to leave Meknes toward Fez, to stay the night there.

Day 2: Fez- Ifran –Azrou- Midelt- Merzouga- Erg Chebbi Dunes ,

In the morning, and after having breakfast, we will travel to Merzouga desert, passing by many stunning views, and Berber villages along the road. We will stop first at the beautiful city of Ifran, which is labeled as “the Switzerland of Morocco”, and at the cedar forests of Azrou, to watch Monkeys and feed them, and then at Midelt, the apple capital of the kingdom to take lunch there. After that, we will cross the panoramic Ziz Valley, to Merzouga desert. In our arrival to Merzouga, we will have a camel ride to watch the sunrise, over the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, where our camp is located, to enjoy a delicious dinner, under the stars while the Berbers will amuse you with their music using their drums.

Day 3: Merzouga- Tinghir- Kelaat M’gouna- Ouarzazate ,

Wonderful scenery of the sun rising over the golden Dunes will impress you; make sure to wake up early to see it. After having breakfast, we will head back to the hotel in Merzouga, to have a shower and then continue to Ouarzazate. We will pass by Tinghir, The Valley of roses at Kelaat M’gouna, this area is known for producing the natural and pure local cosmetics from the extracts of the roses, it smells good; you can buy some, and Skoura Oasis, then Ouarzazate. It is called to be “the Hollywood of Morocco”, because it hosted many sets of well-known Hollywood Movies, such as “The Mummy”, we will visit Taourirt Kasbah, and the Atlas film studios, and then check-in in a hotel.

Day 4: Ouarzazate- Marrakech,

After having breakfast, we will visit “Ait Ben Haddou”, this Kasbah has cited to be a Unesco World Heritage site, along with its role in hosting sets of many Hollywood Movies. After this short visit, we will continue to Marrakech via the caravan route, where it will mark the end of our 4 days tour.
